You need to extend the display

to another monitor, how you do this will depend the software that you have installed with the ATI.

Suggest you right click on the desktop and select properties or the video card application. There should be something about extending or setting up multiple displays

go play around with your graphics card settings.

when you plug that in, right click on your desktop, go to properties, and go to the settings tab.
there should be two screens on there.
click the grayed out one and click the tick box that says something to the effect of “use this as the primary device” or “extend to this monitor” or something like that.

sometimes GPU drives will add a context menu when you right click on the desktop… look for it in there.. should give you an option to direct the input to a different monitor.

        good luck!

Also some times with modern Video Cards

Their Software overrides Windows so instead of using the Windows Interface to setup the Extended Desktop you may need to use the Video Card Software.

But once you know what is required to use it’s pretty straight forward from there.
