If you want to build an app from scratch for a particular purpose, you might find hundreds of App Development companies, developers & brands out there that can help you with your mobile app development. For this, you can search for terms like “Mobile App Development” in Google or any search engine you use.

However, if you want to turn your already-established website into an app, there are a lot of online tools available such as appypie, GoNative, and AppsGeyser etc. I personally recently used AppsGeyser to turn this website xxxxxx into an app. However, I’m still waiting for Google Play store to approve my listing submission.

If they did approve my listing submission, I’ll edit this and let you people know about it.

I personally think that when building an app from Scratch requires a lot of budgets to have. And as for those auto app-making tools, they are not quite mobile-friendly to some extent as web developers and app developers still need to make some customization and tweaks to the apps that are built from websites and single URLs.

There are several types of platforms available for mobile app development. Here are some of the most common ones:
Native app development platforms: These platforms are specific to a particular mobile operating system, such as Android or iOS, and use the corresponding programming languages and development tools. For instance, Android Studio is used for Android OS and Xcode is used for iOS.
Cross-platform app development platforms: These platforms enable developers to create apps that can run on multiple operating systems, using a single codebase. Examples of cross-platform development tools include React Native, Xamarin, and Flutter.
Hybrid app development platforms: These platforms combine elements of native and cross-platform development, allowing developers to create apps that can run on multiple platforms, while still being able to access native features of each platform. Examples of hybrid development platforms include Ionic, PhoneGap, and Apache Cordova.
Low-code/no-code app development platforms: These platforms are designed for developers with limited coding experience, allowing them to create mobile apps using drag-and-drop interfaces and pre-built templates. Examples of low-code/no-code platforms include Appy Pie, Mendix, and OutSystems.
Rapid mobile app development platforms: These platforms are designed to help developers create mobile apps quickly, using pre-built components and templates. Examples of rapid mobile app development platforms include Salesforce Lightning, Kony, and IBM MobileFirst.

Each platform has its own benefits and drawbacks, and the choice of platform depends on the requirements of the app being developed. Ultimately, selecting the right platform can help ensure a successful mobile app development project that delivers a seamless user experience.

Various types of platforms available to develop a mobile app

There are several types of platforms available to develop a mobile app. Here are some of the most popular ones:

Native Platform: This involves developing an app specifically for a particular mobile operating system, such as Android or iOS, using programming languages like Java or Kotlin for Android, and Swift or Objective-C for iOS.

Cross-Platform: This platform enables developers to build mobile apps for multiple operating systems using a single codebase. Some popular cross-platform frameworks include React Native, Flutter, and Xamarin.

Hybrid Platform: This is a mix of native and web technologies. The app is built using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and then wrapped in a native container that allows it to run on multiple platforms.

Web Platform: This involves building a mobile app as a web application that runs on a mobile browser. The app can be accessed through a URL, without the need to download and install it on the user’s device.

Each platform has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the choice of platform depends on factors such as the app’s requirements, budget, and development timeline.
