By tigers7612 ·
ok I have downloaded the Ultimate boot disk for wondows and I used my record now program to copy it to a cd. I then tested it and it wouldn't work. I have also tried to extract it to the cd using the 7 zip that it uses to unzip to the computer and it says could not open any files to the cd. I am running windows xp home. any help would be appreciated.

The download for the Ultimate Boot CD is a zip archive of an ISO image.

You need to extract the file from the archive.
In Windows XP, you can do this from Windows Explorer.
Just click on the ZIP file and choose extract from the file menu.

Then, you need to use the option to burn a CD from an image in your CD recorder software.

If you are using the built-in XP burner, I believe you need to download the ISO recorder tool.

I have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 installed.
The way to record from an ISO image with this program is to open the Easy CD Creator application;
From the File Menu, Select "Record CD from CD Image".
Then browse to the iso file that you extracted.
