Unable to keep setting in Access2000

When I try to print a report in Access 2000, I choose the properties of the printer and it comes up as legal when I want letter. I can change it, apply it and it prints on letter but the next time it will default back to legal. I have some reports that are OK but a couple will not apply the letter setting. I have to go in each time and set the printer up to print on letter size. Any idea what I can do? Thanks
