As far as I know, there is a group policy we can use to restrict the drive redirection:
Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Device and Resource Redirection\Do do not allow drive redirection

Once this GP has been applied, drive redirection is not working even user selected the drive redirection option via MSTSC.
