    unable to open MSOutlook

    I am runing windows 98SE and have installed Office Pro on the system.My systen crashed 2 days ago and I installed the office system back in but everytime I attempt to open it up to retreave my mail it says the following:
    OUTLOOK caused an invalid page fault in
    module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff8585c.

      Try to open in Outlook in safe mode
      Start ,Run
      Outlook.exe /safe

      Close outlook and open again.

      There are a many things that can cause this. without knowing too much about your system… I would try the following:

      1. Try reinstalling Office

      2. Make sure you have installed all the MS Updates, there are some for Office in addition to Windows.

      3. In the line ‘KERNEL32.DLL at xxxxx’ ; if every time it crashes the xxxxx number is the same, it’s possible that you have some RAM that has failed. This may also have been the cause of the crash.
