unable to open office

By jacky1tech ·
I had to reload windows 2000 pro. After it completed i lost office 2000, unable to open documents, repair or uninstall. I did fix this many months ago by going to "regedit".
I has something to do with windows installer.

It's probably just as easy to reinstall Office 2000.

I am unable to repair, install, reinstall or open documents. permissions are not an issue as logged in as administrator.

what's hapening is that office installs some .dll's in the Windows directory, once you reinstall windows, thise might be gone so yes, the easiest and "healthiest" thing is to reinstall Office.

Try re-installing the installer:

Win2000/NT4 - MS Windows Installer (MSI) v2:

http://microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=32832
