Unable to open shortcut from Outlook bar

Microsoft Windows 2000, Office 2000, Exchange 5

When the user tries to open a shortcut to “My Documents” from the Outlook bar in OL2000, Outlook displays the following error dialogue and shuts down:

“Outlook.exe has generated errors & will beclosed by Windows”

This problem has been consistent throughout a clean OS & software upgrade from Win98SE, Outlook 98 to Win2000, Office 2000. This problem is unique to the user despite recreating shortcuts etc and following recommendations fromMicrosoft Knowledge Base Article – Q259791 referring to Outlook bar problems.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
