Hi All,
I have a small LAN, users behind ISA Server to connect to the internet, have all browsing permissions.
Users have thier hotmail accounts configured to mail-clients like Outlook Express & MS Outlook on their XP systems. Since last few days,they r unable to Send/Receive mails from hotmail mailboxes – ‘in the first shot’; Meaning: if we click on the Send/Receive button 3-4times, the mails will start coming in & going out, but not until then. Following is the error that is generated:
Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: ‘Hotmail’, Server: ‘http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp’, Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: ‘Proxy Error ( The specified network name is no longer available. )’, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC3F
What could be the problem?? I have tried the following, but in vain:
1. Disabled ‘Caching’ on my ISA;
2. Flushed DNS on ISA using ipconfig/flushdns;
3. Cleared history/deleted files/deleted cookies etc on client machines.
All that i could think of, does not work, please advice.
Thnx.
