Unable to sync music & videos to ipod

I’m using iTunes 7.0.2

itunes is not synchronising music and videos to the ipod. I uncheck the setting for “Manually manage music and videos” & “Enable Disk Use” but after the ipod has finished synchronising, the above 2 settings gets automatically checked.
