Unable to view certain images

By Caithleann ·
I am a Windows 10 user and I have a hosts file in my c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc directory to stop excessive advertising and redirects to other web pages.

Lately I am unable to view images that are part of tech republic articles especially those that are stored on cbsistatic.com. But oddly enough, that host is not in the hosts file. When I disable the file, the images load albeit very slowly. Obviously other servers are also employed by TechRepublic to spread ads.
I cannot allow the hosts file being sidelined by a single domain, but I do wish to remain subscribed to Techrepublic, so perhaps I could learn what those other host domains are to remove them from the host file? The html that is loaded into my browser contains no image links so I have no way of knowing what they are. Can anyone help?
