Unattended installation of Server 2K

by bdhansen . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I am looking for a solution to a issue i have run across using a unattended setup with a .udf file. I am upgrading a Win98SE computer to W2K server. I have used setup manager to create the unattend.txt, unattend.bat and unattend.udf files for the installation. I have one computer with W2K server installed on it which i am using as my installation point. Both computer are networked and communicate fine with each other. When i run unattend from the Win98SE computer i get a error that setup cannot find the .udf file. The .udf file does exist in the W2K server distribution folder. I think the problem is that i need to specify the complete path to the .udf file in the unattend.txt file but am not completly sure where it should be added. Could someone that has seen this same problem let me know what needs to be done to fix this problem.
