Unattend.txt vs winnt.sif

What is the difference between a Unattend.txt file and a Winnt.sif file?
I don?t understand the significance of changing a Unattend.txt file to a winnt.sif file.

It is the same file but depending on how you are installing it needs a different name.

For example if you are starting the install from the CD have winnt.sif on a floopy in the drive and perform the install.

or

Start the install with boot disk that connects to the server and accesses the install files, then unattend.txt in the same directory as winnt.exe

Two ways of doing basically the same thing, for me it depends on how many installs I will be doing. If it is just a few the cd and winnt.sif works fine.
