Unified communications is a framework...

by Pintudaso In reply to Unified Communication Sol ...

Unified Communications (UC) refers to a telephone system that integrates (or “unifies&rdquo multiple communication strategies within a business.

For example, your business most likely communicates in a variety of ways: phone calls, video conferencing, instant messaging, email, SMS, fax - the list goes on and on.
A Unified Communication solution brings along all the ways in which your business communicates and lets them “talk” to each other so that they can work together in one system - creating your business much more economical.

Understanding UC

by Apira Giriharan In reply to Unified Communication Sol ...

Unified communications (UC) describes a communications system that comprises an extensive range of applications and technologies that have been designed, sold and supported as a single communications platform.

As such, the basic idea behind UC is to amalgamate all the tools needed by an organisation’s employees to seamlessly interact either internally with their co-workers or externally with customers through a central user interface.

Listed below are a few common components of a typical unified communications system:

Text-based communication (email, SMS, chat)

Voice applications (telephone calls, audio conferencing, voice mails)

Video services (video conferencing, telepresence)

Social media

Web conferencing (virtual meeting rooms, interactive whiteboards)

Collaboration (file sharing, screen sharing, joint workspaces)

An increasing number of organisations today adopt what is called ‘enterprise unified communications’ to transform how their employees collaborate with each other. Enterprise UC systems enhance business agility by simplifying and streamlining internal communications, thus enhancing employee productivity in the long run.

In addition, UC solutions (link removed by moderator) are also popular in the contact centres that organisations operate, given that they allow contact centres to open up multiple channels of communications to customers. By adopting UC systems, contact centres can manage and control all communication channels in the same way, thus ensuring that customer service is consistent regardless of the channel used.

UC Solutions

Unified communications platforms allow the potential to extensively enhance the way people, teams, and businesses interact with each other.

UC solution integrates different communication techniques or applications into a single dashboard that makes agents' work more comfortable. They can easily connect with customers coming from different communication platforms such as fax, video conferencing, instant messaging, email, SMS. Using UC solutions, response times are significantly reduced, and the coordination of scattered teams is facilitated by the use of a single, easy-to-deploy solution. I have come across The Real PBX that provides good UC Solutions.

Unified Communication or simply UC is a term that is used for describing how we connect different communication systems like Messaging, Voice and video calling, Team collaboration, Video Conferencing, and File sharing, etc. for the digital workforce and also the collaboration tools. UC ensures a higher level of interaction throughout the globally-dispersed workforce. It ensures that no matter where you work, you can still access the same secure system.

Flexible device usage and round-the-clock connectivity is the need of the hour for the mobile workforce in order to have consistent in-office experience while working from home, between appointments or while on the move. Increasing competition, flexible work places and timings give rise to the need for more collaborative communication solutions for in-office and mobile workforce. Unified Communication

by emmadavid2090 In reply to Unified Communication Sol ...

Unified Communication is a service platform that integrates and brings together all the modes of communication that a business uses.
It not only integrates the communication processes but also reinvents them to give the business an all-around solution that helps them communicate better and, in turn, grow their business better.
UCaaS delivers unified services to a business with a subscription model, thereby reducing the operational and installation costs.
If working on a professional ground, you will understand how tough it is to handle multiple channels and applications for communications. There are several ways such as phone calls, text, messages, emails, and social media. So, what is that solution that helps to defragment all the channels in one place? Unified Communication Solutions. I have come across CallCenterHosting that provides good UC solutions.
