Uninstall greyed out TCP/IP Win Xp Home

By ackeeman ·
I would like to be able to uninstall and reinstall TCP/IP in Windows Xp Home Edition. Uninstall is greyed out in TCP/IP Properties. Is there a work around for this? Appreciate your help.

Uninstall greyed out TCP/IP Win Xp Home

The short answer to your question is "no." TCP/IP is a requirement (which is why it is not uninatallable.) The last document I read said that the only way to fix an errant TCP/IP installation under XP was to format and reinstall XP.

And yes, I know this answer sucks... Sorry.

Thanks, phil, I was afraid that would be the answer I suspected. Thanks.
