Hi Experts......... I accedently installed Fedora 7 and now i want to switch to windows xp......... so when i put window xp cd it ask for the boot for cd and screen goes black........ Now how could i uninstall fedora and install windows XP..........

as my experience in installing linux and convert it into windows operating system;
you need windows98 cd
first format your drive c, we all know if the drive c is ntfs, if drive c is in ntfs, windows98 cannot read or see the drive so we need to partition the hard drive first and convert to fat or fat32. then restart to take effect.
second just command fdisk /mbr.
then restart and insert windows xp and try to install it.
I can't verify if that works or not. It's easy enough that it's worth a try. I had a similar issue after I removed openSUSE 10.1. It seems to me that I fixed it all with Partitionmagic.
