Now how could i uninstall fedora and install windows XP

as my experience in installing linux and convert it into windows operating system;

you need windows98 cd

first format your drive c, we all know if the drive c is ntfs, if drive c is in ntfs, windows98 cannot read or see the drive so we need to partition the hard drive first and convert to fat or fat32. then restart to take effect.

second just command fdisk /mbr.

then restart and insert windows xp and try to install it.

Hope it can help...

There are two solutions:
1. If the windows setup runs, then select the recover console and try "fixmbr" command.

2. Select some partitioning software that you can run using CD/DVD at boot and remove all the linux partitions.

The problem is due to the "grub" installed on MBR.

I suspect you need to remove the GRUB boot loader. <edited>

One method to do so is posted here:<br><br>

I can't verify if that works or not. It's easy enough that it's worth a try. I had a similar issue after I removed openSUSE 10.1. It seems to me that I fixed it all with Partitionmagic. I don't know why the person in the above post couldn't do so. I did.<br><br>
Edit: From further down in the above link:"Also, here is the official Grub FAQ on uninstalling Grub..."<br><br><br><br>
Of particular interest is point No. 12
