Unix question

by smcl99_2000 . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I don’t know how to describe my question without sounding like an idiot but here goes: My office has a DG/UX unix system that we are able to telnet to via TCP/IP through an NT network using an emulation software. We have internet access set up on the NT network via a cable modem and I want to be able to set up our Unix system so that it goes through our firewall first and then out to the internet (i.e., I basically want to be able to ping to internet addresses (microsoft.com, etc.)) My knowledge of UNIX and TCP/IP is very limited and was wondering if there is a way to do this going through Unix’s sysadm. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
