UNIX to Exchange conversion

We are in the process of planning a migration from a BSD server running sendmail to Exchange 2000. The CIO wants to run both systems in parallel so that we can move users incrementally. We have one site with only 200 or so users and I think we will have fewer hassles if we just convert everything at once. Can anyone offer any advice?
