Unwanted ads IE

If you are referring to "pop-up" advertising windows, the action to open them is part of the html code on the web site you visited.

There are several add-on utilities that you can install to stop pop-ups from opening.

Or, you can switch to theK-Meleon web browser that has a built in pop-up window stopper.

www.adsubtract.com
www.southbaypc.com/noads
www.popupstopper.net
www.ranfo.com/popki

As always, remove any spaces from the pasted links.

The pop up ads seem to be the same type of window with veryied content reguadless of what web site visited . It seems like a resident program if that's possible.

Sorry for the late response but, if you are still being pestered by the popups you may have some spyware on your machine. (I had that problem.)
Try Ad-Aware. http://tomcoyote.com/lsindex.html
Also, you can use a new browser, such as Opera, that can block popups. http://www.opera.com/
Good luck, I know those are tough to deal with.
