I just migrated mailboxes from an exchange 5.5 server running on Win NT4.0 to Exchange 2003 server running on Windows 2003 using the Active Directory Connectory(ADC). I've uninstalled the ex 5.5 server and the NT server is no longer on the network.
I still see the ex 5.5 server under the server container in the administrative group of ex 2003 console although grayed out. Aso from the event viewer there are so many errors created while trying to replicate to the ex 5.5 server.
How can i remove all traces of the ex 5.5 server from AD and from the ex 2003

Just need to perform some more steps in Exchange to get rid of it. The steps are covered in the section "Removing Exchange 5.5 servers" in this Microsoft document:
