I swapped out an hp procurve 2524 switch for two procurve 1800’s – took the old 2524 and popped it in place of an older switch else where in the building. Our DHCP addresses are generated from a sonicwall TZ170 (connected to one of the new 1800’s). Our clients are Win XP SP2 and have been experiencing very slow (up to 10 minutes) to acquire an IP address. Event log shows multiple DHCP entries. Even a direct connect to the same switch takes a long time to login.
