Upgrading to Win2k

Good question! Ultimately, you will be the only one to answer it. However, in the Midwest (U.S.) it would not be uncommon to charge from $20-50/hr. for a basic OS upgrade. If you are going to be networking the machines or providing other servicesbeyond basic OS installation/upgrade then the bill rate should go up accordingly. If you are quoting a all-inclusive lump fee, multiply the hours you plan it will take by the hourly bill rate (and then add 10% to be safe). You have upgraded to Win2K before right? So, you should know approximately how long it will take. Remember, customers will usually pay more than you expect. But, if you want return customers, be fair.......

Good luck,
Kurt G.
