URGENT! OVERCLOCK FAILED WITHOUT OVERCLOCKING

Pc specs: Asus X99-A, 16gb ram g skill 3000mhz, 2 gtx 980 ftw sli , 1000w corsair hx psu .
My pc is having an error while playing some games like dota 2 or fortnite going black screen (no signal input) and the pc keeps on running the only thing that shuts down is the monitor and the main gpu fans . In other games like call of duty modern warfare , gta 5 , csgo , rainbow six siege everything works fine with no problems . I need your help !

It’s totally unclear what your mean with “overclock failed without overclocking”. The word ‘overclock’ is nowhere in post.

Since little is known about this PC’s history I’d try the latest BIOS and default settings. For me it’s always been that or failed hardware.

Bad news. The shop is seeing failing GTX 9×0 cards now. Very hard for owners to diagnose. At the shop we’ll swap in a shop card and re-test. Yes, the owners want to debate such findings which we do at (cha-ching) $150 per hour.
Hope it’s BIOS settings or just another PC that needs a deep cleaning, fan check and/or fresh heatsink compound all around.

Test each gpu alone.
See if anything changes.Agree with Kees.
You title talks about overclock your post about a black screen.
