    *URGENT* Problem with Acess macros

    by leed ·

This program wil be transferring data from one database to another one and then closing Microsoft Acess using the “Exit” tool when creating the macro, and selecting “Save All”. I have also set the warnings so that they are off.

When running this through a scheduled task i get the following error messages but when i run it from the computer it works fine, this happens on all of the other macros that i have made on the database when it comes to exiting the system through a scheduled task.

“You can’t exit Microsoft Access now.
If your running a Visual Basic module that is using OLE or DDE, you may need to interupt the module.”

I then click OK and get another message:

    “The Runmacro action was cancelled.
You used a method of the DoCmd object to carry out an action in Visual Basic, but then clicked Cancel in a dialog box.

For example, you used the close method to close a changed from, then clicked cancel in the dialog box that asks if you want to save the changes you made in the form.”

Any help would be much appreciated.

      Just a question

Have you thought about writing a script or something to do this for you? I’m assuming you are letting this run at night as a scheduled task, so it might work better to run it this way.

With an ODBC connection setup, you can access the information from the one database and input it into the other.

      Just a thought.
