whenever i unplug and replug a usb device, mouse/keyboard windows asks me how to install the new found hardware Auto search for drivers to install or manually install.

I click auto install and everything is off and running, why does it ask me this every time i reattach the mouse/keyboard?

Next i did the mouse.

now i can freely move around to any port and i don't get the prompt to install the devices.

RE: USB driver install

by PoppaTab In reply to think i got it

Hello,

On Windows 7 as well as earlier OS; best practice is to eject the USB device first. My installations have always remembered the USB device starting with XP and up. I suggest you check instructions on your OS and the BIOS of your machine. As said above; be sure BIOS is enable to support the USB devices.

Put the drivers in the System32 folder.

That is where your system looks for the drivers.
