My USB1 modem does not work on a USB2 PC. Why?
Modem type is- Generic modem soft Data Fax Voice CARP
I Have the following problem…I am swapping out an old PC for new Pc.
On the old Pc the USB modem works fine but Windows XP does not auto install the driver on the new PC. It recognises device is there but installs with yellow exclamation mark in device manager.(tagged other devices)
I have tried downloading all sorts of drivers for the modem soft Data Fax Voice CARP but none of them work, even the one from the old PC.
Both Pc’s are windows XP2.
Question 1 – Does anyone know where i can get a USB2 modem driver fro this modem – soft Data Fax Voice CARP
Question 2 – Will a USB1 modem work when plugged into a USB2 slot?
Anyone got any ideas att all on these questions?
