I have Compaq Armada 4120 I got CHEAP and simply want to get it connected to our wireless network so my darling son can listen to his MusicMatch playlists. It’s running Windows 95, and has ALL its original floppies available including one enabling plug and play. I have a wireless CF card (xi825) in a pcmcia adapter that I might use, if the driver I found is workable. BUT I use it in my Jornada 720, so if it works, I’ll never see it again!
I have two USB wireless adapters, but suspect I would need more than just a pcmcia usb adapter to make them work. First, the cardbus may need a driver (all of them say win98 – this is a 32 bit slot but I’m not counting on it working). Then my drivers for the wireless adapters are windows xp! so what might I need to do? Give up on the usb idea and just find another wireless cardbus?
