User/Paswd File Sharing in WinXP Wrkgrp?
They want to share folders with each other like in W98/W2K. However, In WinXP sharing diaolog box, I cannot set the user names and their privileges who may logon this XP machine. So, when we enable file sharing, other users (running w98-wxp) can see the shared folders without prompted for User/Passwd logon prompt.
When setting the folder sharing, Only the basic properties of sharing are listed; ie: 1- share this folder 2- allow other users to change the folder content.
Is there a way to solve this problem, other than going back to W2K Prof.
TIA,
