User Profiles on Windows Vista Home Premium

by syedali1975 . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

Hi,
I have Windows Vista Home Premium on my Laptop.
I have two questions.
1. I have another laptop which I usually carry everywhere with me which as Windows XP Pro on it.
When I try to Remote Login to my Home Laptop it asked me for my credentials when I enter the same user name and password which is used to give when I directly login into my Vista Laptop it gives me error that user name or password incorrect, after some time I figure out that even though the User and Password I am entering is correct while RDP I could not able to login because my Windows Vista lap top having a user profile which is different from my User Name on the Laptop so when I login using the user profile name I can able to login remotely.
Is there a way to change the user profile on my Vista Laptop so that I can login using the current credentials.
2. The second question is if I delete the user profile will my system get corrupted and or can I be able to create new user profile which would be same as my user name.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
