User win2k username to login from Nt4.0

By paran ·
i have a win2k Advanced server. I have created a new user and gave him the permission of an Administrator.

I shared a folder in the same win2k machine, and allowed access only to the user i have created.

But, when i connect from another win2kmachine, everythign is fine. If i use a Nt4.0 it says that the access denied. Why is that so? is that abug in win2K?

please advice...

Map a Drive to the Server. Right click on the folder and check both share and NTFS permissions from the NT4 box. You will probably find that on the share you are denied access. Because you are the Owner you can give yourself or other users permissions from where you mapped the drive.

ps: 2000 does handle permissions differently!
