Users have to reboot before log on

I have W2000 servers and mixed clients of 2000 pro and W’98. Users log off at night and when they come back in the morning some of them have to reboot or they get a bad user name or password error. It seems to be w98 cilents so far. Any thoughts. Points will be awarded to all helpful answers
