Using more than one type of VNC program

By kamotto ·
Right now we're using mostly realvnc and tightvnc (the free versions)for remote admin functions...but want to start switching over to UltraVNC.

What is the best and easiest method is for uninstalling RealVNC and TightVNC? Does anybody know if there's a tool available which will uninstall the "old" apps, and completely remove them from the registry?

Or, can we just install UltraVNC over either or both, and not have to worry? We're not sure what the impact would be of having more than 1 VNC app installed at once.

Any thoughts?

My instinct says that as long as they don't share the same port, there won't be a problem running them side by side.

We do have one specific report/lab computer that runs both. It is okay to do, but not your best practice for most end-user systems.
