Using Outlook Tasks, time fields

By Borg7of9 ·
Outlook, tasks functions
I use both Outlook2000 and Outlook 2002. I have started using the tasks, and I am using the time fields, "Total work" and "Actual work" I want to always have these fields show "hours" but if I fill in for example 8 hours, it changes it it to display 1 Day. Is there a way so that it always will display time in hours?

Also, I was wondering if there was a way to email a task to someone else? ( I dont use exchange)

(1) the hours vs. day display: As far as I can tell, hours can be displayed in all but "8" (and probably any multiples of "8", such as "16", "24", "32", etc., because the display defaults to "1 day" for every "8 hours", using the generally-accepted 8-hour workday. I tried it using 6, 7 & 9 hours, with no problem. Only "8" changed the display to "1 day", so unless you can program the display to display hours ONLY, that's the best workaround.
(2) to email a task to someone else, just double-click on the task in the page display and it'll open a properties box. Then click on 'Actions' and then 'Send Status Report', and it'll open up an Outlook message with the task already in it (and editable, if you need it to be), and all you need to do is make sure the info is correct, fill in the email addy you want to send it to, and hit 'Send'.
