Is it possible to get the increase or decrease value from other cells in the form of percents? The increase or decrease would be placed in a seperate column. example: B1 50 C1 25- what is the increase or decrease from B1 to C1 in the form of percents?

If you’re talking in Excel, the answer is easy. In you example in cell A1 place =c1/b1 and then hit enter. It will probably display 0.5. Now highlight cell A1 and goto format-cells select the numbers tab and then select percentage. Click OK and cell A1 will display 50%.

Of course, you’re probably doing more than one cell. Just format the entire column as percentage and copy the formula down the entire column.

Do you want the percent difference?
      Or the percent change?

Start by setting the numeric format for the results column to %

      Percent difference c1/b1
      Percent change (c1-b1)/b1
