Using RCMD, REXEC, or R Shell Service

By mikeheitz ·
Does anyone have doc's on how to use RCMD or REXEC to be able to remote control an NT Server (or Workstation) from a Windows 98 machine? I'm thinking if I just had some darn Docs, I could figure it out. Thanks!

Well, first you need to have the REXEC service running on the NT. Not sure if that service is in the Resource Kit, but you can download a version at:

Also not sure if Windows 95/98 comes with the REXEC client, but I know NT does. The syntax is:

REXEC <host> -l <username> <command to run>

Already got that far... No dice with WIN98... I was hoping someone knew something I didn't.
