I have been a developer and a tech lead and right now in a development manager position leading a team of technical leads and developers. This role needs consistent interaction with PMs, BAs but the scope of the role is limited to technical leading of a project. So I kind of represent the code modules and level of estimate determination for the projects am working on. I have seen PMP being regarded high and some people doing the same work like I do are attempting to take this exam. My question is, would this do a addition to my career if I attempt on this exam? Any certification is probably a plus to your resume but for the effort and time you put it, I want to know if there is any other certification that is more worthy and PMP may or not fall in line with my current or any future roles in this direction I could take up in future.
