Each time one of our users launches Word 2000, a MS-Visual Basic run-time error message appears:
Run-Time Error
‘_2147467259(8004005)
Automation Error
I have looked in Word’s help file which says that
this error is caused by the fact that the application has created an object, which it has then been unable to access. However, as is often the case, there is no solution/workaround provided.
I don’t know, therefore, if this is impacting the performance of Word. Can anyone explain what is happening and how I can eliminate this error message? Do I need to reinstall Word 2000? Was there an error during the initial installation? I modified the setup of Office 2000 (it was originally installed as a typical installation), to remove applications which were not required, and the error is still there.
