I am the new Systems Admin for my facility. We have an intranet setup that was created by the previous employer. The site runs on a NT Server with IIS. The last guy used VB to pull data from the Informix database (that will eventually be migratedto Oracle) to create dynamic forms/reports on the website. He created the website using FrontPage 2000. I am not overly familiar with VB or Java, so it will be a fresh start with either. My question is should I stay with VB, or should I go with Java. I’ve heard a lot about Java and what can be done with it, but it might be easier to stick with what he has done. This is all new ground to me. Any help is greatly appreciated.
