Does anyone know exactly(detailed exlanation) of how to connect your VB.Net Application to an Access database?
I've been hunting for this code like forever.

Assistance on Access DB

by ats-llc In reply to VB.Net - HELP needed

It may depend on the version of VB.NET your using. If it is 2003 it is somewhat more involved than the 2005 version with regard to filling the dataset object. Which one do you have?

Yeah it's wierd in '05

by JRL21 In reply to VB.Net - HELP needed

Yeah it's wierd in '05. More steps involved but just trust the interfaces and you'll figure it out. You know: DataBindings Property for text for example. You see the link below to add Project Data Source. then you follow the wizard. It's different ways to bind data to an object as the properties window more often has a way to do it. whether its a table, label, textbox or whatever. Hope this helps if you're still stuck. Happy coding as you will need to do that whole dataset.fill() thing if you're dealing with VS'03.

Connection to access database

by seaziz_ksa In reply to VB.Net - HELP needed

The connection to access database in VB.Net is very easy. Make a new project, add a new form then go to Data Menu, click on "add a new data source" and follow the steps on the screen.
