Video Codex

Does anyone know what a good capture codex is for capturing video? I seam to have the 5 that can capture video and the rest can only compress. I use Pinnicle Studio 8, and really need a good compressor. If anyone can help me out on where I can download one that I can use to capture video I would really appriciate it.

The ones I have are:
Ligos Indeo Video 3.2
Ligos Indeo Video 4.5
Ligos Indeo Video 5.11
PCLEPLM1 32-bit Compressor
Yuv2

The programs I use are Movie Star, and Pinnicle Studio 8, however I have lots of others installed they just won’t let me use them to capture video, only the 5 I mentioned I can capture, however the rest once I captured the video work to recompress it.

Any help appriciated.
