Viewing Emails in SBS Microsoft Exchange

By veraloopy ·
Hi
I've just started using Exchange on SBS and have the emails coming in through Popcon.

The emails are then delivered to the exchange mailboxes for each user.

Is there any way I can look at an email without having to load the users full mailbox on my machine?
i.e. If the manager is out of the office, can I obtain a copy of an email if need be?

Many thanks

I'm trying to find an answer to this Question too....

I have Exchange 2003 Server running on Server 2003 SBS, and was wondering if there was a way to actually view the exact emails coming in to the users. Not just the search tool that shows what user received the message and who it was sent from. The ACTUAL message itself. Thanks.

The only way to get any infomation is to

If you only want to find simple delivery infomation use the system management console>tools>message tracking center.

If you want to view a full email you will need to open AD>properties or the user in question>exchange advanced>mailbox rights>add yourself into the permissions.

Then open your outlook client>account settings>more settings>advanced>click add on the open these aditional mailboxes.

I tried it and can view the messages.... Thanks. I heard through the grapevine it could be done simply in Exchange, but I haven't seen a way to do that.
