– Where are those photos stored? You say “via”, so I suppose somewhere in the cloud, not on your phone .
– What OS on the phone?
– What did you do to have the phone tell you you need “smart switch”? As far as I know that’s a Samsung app to transfer data from an old phone to a new phone. Your TV isn’t a new phone, is it?
– What app on your TV do you want to use to show the pictures you “send” via the USB cable?I’m afraid you need something else as a USB-cable. Something with “cast” and “WiFi”.

Are you using a Samsung phone? What model? What version of OS? My old Samsung Galaxy phones allowed me to “cast” from my phone wirelessly to my prior TV using the free Chrome cast application. Oddly, my current TCL smart TV no longer allows me to do so with my current Samsung Galaxy S23, but I could probably research it deeper to resolve that.

Sure, let’s break it down:
Wireless Way (Wi-Fi):
Make sure both your phone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
On your phone, find the option to “Share” or “Cast.”
Choose your TV from the list.
Your photos should show up on the TV.
Wired Way (HDMI Cable):Get an HDMI cable.
Plug one end into your phone and the other into the TV.
Change the TV to the right input (usually HDMI).
Your photos will appear on the TV.
Gadget Way (Chromecast, etc.):Use a small device like Chromecast.
Connect it to your TV.
Follow the setup instructions.
Open your photo app on the phone, look for a casting icon, and select your TV. -

To view photos from your mobile device on a smart TV, you can use features like screen mirroring or casting. Here’s a concise guide:
Screen Mirroring/Casting:
Ensure both your mobile device and smart TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
On your mobile device, enable screen mirroring or casting through settings.
Select your smart TV from the available devices.
Open the photo app on your mobile device, and the content will appear on the TV.
Remember, the exact steps may vary depending on your mobile device and smart TV models. -

In my opinion, Using a USB cable to view photos from a mobile on a smart TV hasn’t been successful. Attempted Smart Switch app download didn’t work either; seeking easier alternatives or YouTube tutorials for guidance.

A USB cable should only work if your smart TV has an app for that. Any Windows PC has such an app, but apparently your smart TV doesn’t.
And Smart Switch is a Samsung utility to move settings, apps and data from an old phone to a new phone, both Samsung. So casting seems the way to go. Ask your favorite TV or computer or electronics shop for details.

Install a file-sharing app like Google Files, Send Anywhere, or Xender on your Android phone. Open the app, select the file you want to share, and choose the option to send or share. Scan for available devices, and your smart TV should appear in the list.9First, make sure your devices are on the same Wi-Fi network then open the Google Home app, find a device that supports mirroring, such as a TV, then tap to open. Next, select Cast my screen followed by Cast screen then Start now. To disconnect, return to the device menu in Google Home and tap Stop mirroring.1 As long as you’re on the same wireless network as your smart TV, you can launch your phone’s photo gallery, select a bunch of photos, videos or both and transmit them to your big screen. From YouTube: 1. Open the YouTube app on your mobile device or computer and find the video you want to watch.

While connecting via USB can be tricky, there are easier ways! Most phones and smart TVs nowadays allow wireless casting. Look for a “cast” or “screen mirroring” option on your phone (usually in settings or quick access panel). Then, your TV should show up as a device to cast to. There might be some variations depending on your phone and TV brand, but searching for “[phone brand] cast to TV” or “[TV brand] screen mirroring” on YouTube should give you specific tutorials.
