Visio 2002 Prof.: where is Web menu?

By websynapse ·
I am trying to generate a map of an existing website. In the microsoft.com documentation, it says:

"on the File menu, point to New and click Web Diagram. Then click Web Site Map."

I do this and a new file is created. Then...

The next step says "On the Web menu, click Generate Site Map to launch the Generate Site Map dialog box."

There is no web menu! Where is the web menu?

Just to be certain, did you check your "Toolbars" to see if the Web Menu is active? You may need to go into your Tools/Options and turn on the Web Menu which might have been disabled.

I just did your same steps in Viso on my computer and the Web menu displays automatically between the Shape and Window menus on the top of my screen towards the right.

What version of Visio are you using? It may not be a full version, or you may have a bad install.

Just some ideas to explore. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks, I had the helpdesk reinstall it this morning, then it still didn't work so they created a new profile for me and tweaked it for a while, and now it works.

Cheers for your input, I couldn't have directed them to what I wanted without it!
