Visioneer scaner and NT4

We have been trying to install a Visioneer 5300 scanner with PaperPort 6.1 on an NT4 PC. The PaperPort software refuses to work, when it starts up it generates a Dr. Watson error about link.exe. PaperPort continues to start, but shows no links. Any suggestions.

A few questions to narrow it down:
1) Is the scanner software for Win NT?
2) Have you looked at the Visioneer site (www.visioneer.com) for software patches/updates?
3) When Paperports does start, does it detect the scanner?

1 – Visioneer and Softscan claim NT compatibility.
2 – There were no patches or updates.
3 – The scanner works. Paperport detcts it. It will scan and save as a Paperport file, but there are no links that is it. The normal links for file conversions are not there.

Check the hardware compatibility list andthen make sure the software is 32bit application and then check the drivers to see if they are WINNT supported.
