Vista Media Center woes

by ouroboros1 . Updated 18 years, 5 months ago

I am running Vista Ultimate on my desktop PC. In Media center, if I leave a video on pause or just don’t play anything for a few minutes the video card shuts down. The computer keeps running, but the monitor goes black like it’s in sleep mode or something. I have to reboot the system. It never does this while a video or movie is playing, only if I pause it for more than a few minutes or it’s sitting idle in the menu area. It just started doing this, the only recent change to the system is a new Motherboard. Both the old and the new board are made from ASRock, the new one being a 4CoreDual-VSTA. My video card is a six-month old ATI Radeon HD 2400 AGP card with 512 MB of RAM. It was working without a hitch until the motherboard change. Any ideas on what the problem is?
