Does anyone know how to fix this? I have two machines runinng different flavours of Vista (SP1) and they both display the sam ‘bug’.
I leave the machine on at the end of the day to do a batch backup at night and then make it hibernate. If I try to do another backup after waking the machine, locked files do not get copied although VSS is supposedly running. The backup will only work properly after the machine has restarted.
This also seems to affect creating manual system restore points.
ISTM there is a bug in VSS. Has anyone conquered it?

PS. I found a file to fix VSS but that did not work
