Vista Speech Recognition “computer can’t hear anything”.

On Acer Aspire 3054WXMi built in micrphone works fine when doing Vista speech recognition tutorial, but when I try to set up speech recogniton microphone I get report “computer can’t hear anything”.
Same problem when using external microphone
Can you help please

Speech Registry Fix

Search the registry for a key named “en-US_CompletedSpeechConfiguration” and change it from 0 to 1.

This will make vista think that you have successfully set up the mic and will allow you to enable speech recognition.
