Visual Foxpro 6.0 SQL Pass Through

By lannyort ·
Visual Foxpro 6.0 book states: SQL Pass Through result cursors are not updateable by nature. You can set them to be updateable by using the SQLSetProp() function after the cursor exist. How will I do this? Need Help!!

I don't have Foxpro loaded right now, so I cannot give you the exact line, but here is how to find your answer:

From the foxpro editor, press the F1 key to bring up help.
Click on the search tab.
Search for SQLSetProp()
It will bring up the help page on this function, usually including examples.

In general, it is going to tell you to put in a line like:
SQLSetProp(cursorname, property, parameter)
where the cursorname is the name you specified in the SQL command that created the cursor, the property is either 'Updateable' or some code that it will give you for this property, and the parameter is probably 'True'.

Good luck.

I could not find a property of the SQLSetProp() command that will change the cursor to be updateable.
