As a student eligible for academic pricing on software titles, I acquired Visual Basic Professional Edition 6.0 for about $100. However, I was considering returning VB 6.0 and buying the entire Visual Studio Pro 6.0 Suite (includes Visual Basic, C++, J++, FoxPro, InterDev, etc.), since at academic pricing rate it costs about only $258 ($1000+ for standard pricing). This is because I also do programming in Java and C++ and I do not forget the skills I have learned for programming in these languages. The thing is, since Visual Studio.NET will be released in about a year or so (adding C# and XML functionality), should I just stick with VB 6 and not worry about Visual Studio 6 Pro?
