When user try to reply any msg. through at & t dialup connection and office 2000 outlook they get the following error " No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient" but composing new mail works fine. We are facing this problem when user goes out and try to connect through vpn to our exchange 5.5 mail server. We are running vpn on checkpoint firewall.
Please advise me about this problem..
Thanks in advance..
chandan.

From home, I connect to our Exchange Server at work using Outlook Express. I received the same error message when trying to reply to emails.

The solution:

Click Tools --> Accounts... and highlight the correct account. Click on Properties and select the Servers tab. Under Outgoing Mail Server, check the checkbox that says, "my server requires authentication." Then click the Settings button next to it and set the account info or select use the same settings as my incoming mail server.

What version is your firewall? You may want to see if they have an update.
